UUIN 25SS《Rain City》— Tokyo Urban Stroll

This spring, UUIN was invited to participate in the "BLOOMING TAIWAN" project of Tokyo Fashion Week, launching a four-day pop-up exhibition on the 12th floor of Shibuya's landmark SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE, presenting the 25SS "Rain City" image series for the first time.

For this on-site filming and exhibition in Tokyo, we incorporated imagery from Keelung, Taiwan's rainy city, into the urban fabric of Tokyo's streets. Keelung's humid air, the contours of its mountains and sea, and the memory of its misty light were transformed into textures and colors on fabric, interweaving with the light, shadow, pace, and architectural language of Shibuya to create a unique landscape.

The street photography spans from the area around Shibuya Station to residential alleys. In addition to clothing, we also invited lifestyle design brands from Taiwan and Japan to participate in the photos, reflecting the real life appearance of the extension of clothing.

In this imagery, n.max.n offers a variety of design items that combine phone cases and small bags, offering protective features and unique shapes, creating a strong sense of urban rhythm in the mobile shots shot on the streets of Tokyo. Diana , a representative Japanese women's shoe brand, complements the "light, moist, and walkable" silhouette and texture of the "Rain City" look with its signature detailed craftsmanship and comfortable cuts.

We bring the unique humid atmosphere and mountain and sea memories of Keelung, Taiwan, into the urban fabric of Tokyo.
It was the texture of mist clinging to the skin and water vapor condensing the sight, migrating all the way from the harbor to settle on the sidewalks, glass curtains and concrete street corners of Shibuya.

In the gaps between the cities, we use fabrics to depict the scenery:
The gray-blue color of rain, the pink mist of morning light, and the lines of the harbor are woven into the clothing and layered tailoring, making the body a carrier, traveling through the memory of humidity in a foreign yet familiar place.

Through images and clothing, we capture moments——
The encounter between people and the city, the interweaving of stillness and flow, the interplay of streetlights and dark clouds; this is the gaze of Tokyo from an island perspective, and also UUIN's extended interpretation of the concept of "Rainy City".
