The buzzworthy fashion brand UUIN is inspired by the 2024 TAFAD GALA x Shinmiya Susumu's work "Universe - Journey," breaking the boundaries between fashion and functionality.
Taiwanese fashion designer brand UUIN, rooted in art and culture, creates sophisticated, powerful, and unique clothing for contemporary women. Embracing the sophisticated lifestyles of modern women, UUIN upholds environmentally friendly and sustainable principles in its garment-making. For this event, UUIN Creative Director Liu Zichao, incorporating the work of artist Susumu Shingu, collaborated with renowned actress Chie Tanaka to create an elegant, kite-shaped mermaid evening gown. The stunning dress showcased Chie Tanaka's unique fashion style.

UUIN Creative Director Liu Zichao said, "This collection draws inspiration from the artist's work ' The Galaxy ,' transforming the geometric silhouette of a kite into a unique garment language. The diamond-shaped collar on the chest sways gracefully as the wearer walks, like a kite soaring through the sky. The color palette, inspired by the red and blue in the artwork, adds a vibrant touch to the overall look. Functional fabrics are sewn into a classic dress silhouette with a futuristic feel, showcasing UUIN's unique, contemporary, and meticulous design perspective."
UUIN Creative Director Liu Zichao further stated, "Shinmiya Susumu's work deeply focuses on sustainability and education. Crossing over into the fashion world, he has even created art installations for Issey Miyake . His fearless spirit of boldly crossing boundaries shares many similarities with UUIN 's brand DNA . Therefore, the brand boldly invited fellow Japanese actress Chie Tanaka to co-design a custom red carpet dress for this event."
Chie Tanaka said , "The most special thing about this collaboration with UUIN was the opportunity to participate in the entire process, from design meetings to gown production. I was involved in every detail of the process, and for the first time, I witnessed the entire process of a gown's creation, from design drawings, pattern making, prototype production, fittings, to final production. It was a truly precious and special experience for me! I'm so grateful to the brand for inviting me to wear this beautiful, one-of-a-kind gown that embodies the UUIN brand spirit."

UUIN invited leading Taiwanese women from various fields to the gala. From left to right, guests included Zhan Ziyi, producer of the acclaimed dramas "We Are Not Kind Enough" and "A Female Surgeon in the Village," Xu Yuting, the screenwriter and director of the four-time Golden Bell Award-winning Taiwanese drama "We Are Not Kind Enough," and his friends.
