UUIN 2024AW 'ALISHAN'
Part 1 _ Red Cypress
"The train rocked along as we entered the Alishan area, where towering trees stood tall..."
This collection opens with references to the work of French priest Urbain Jean Faurie, who came to Taiwan in 1903, and Japanese botanist Bunzo Hayata, who arrived in Taiwan in 1905. Their sketches of Taiwan red cypress are transformed into prints. Furthermore, the imagery of gridded paper documents is incorporated into the clothing details, embodying the botanist's meticulous observation and research.
UUIN believes that each outfit is a botanical poem, praising the power of nature and paying the most sincere tribute to the vitality of this land.

Part 2 _ Sea of Clouds
"Alishan isn't an easy place to reach. For someone accustomed to the convenient pace of Taipei, this mountainous area appears smack in the middle of Taiwan's map, yet it feels elusive and elusive..."
The second part of the clothing series extracts colors from the world-famous sunrise and sea of clouds in Alishan, mixing together twilight white, sky blue, lake green, light yellow, matte gray... various colors produced by the intersection of clouds and sunlight. On the runway, models were covered with colorful cloud veils and wore neat styles with exquisite fabrics, adding a colorful and new fashion style to the entire series.

Part 3 _ Chen Chengbo
"I long to record the beauty of this forest and create a fleeting yet enduring collection..."
Finally, we sought to use sketches of Alishan by Chen Cheng-po, one of Chiayi's most representative modern painters. These paintings are imbued with the artist's admiration for nature and his love for life. His freehand brushstrokes and vibrant colors condense the vibrant energy of Alishan within a single canvas. These emotions were all frozen in time by the gunfire of the 228 Incident. Thus, the series concludes with a tragic yet magnificent visual ode.
