"Human Documents" Shanjiehao Bamboo Crafts Exhibition

UUIN Salon vol.1

Lin Shan, a bamboo weaving craftsman and the owner of Shanjiehao.
With a background in fashion design, he was fortunate to learn the traditional Taiwanese bamboo weaving craft. Shan Jie Hao's creative direction is "taken from nature, used naturally, and returned to nature." He incorporates timeless and elegant proportions into his pieces, making bamboo weaving a practical and practical part of everyday life.

This collaboration for the "Human Documents" bamboo weaving exhibition stems from UUIN's 2023 Spring/Summer MOGA show. Lin Shan incorporates the retro style of modern Taiwanese women from the 1920s, incorporating materials such as leather, hardware, and fabric to create bamboo crafts that are both stylish and sophisticated: delicate hand baskets, elegant doctor's boxes, and effortless tote bags. The artist likens each of these unique and ingenious pieces to a "document," serving as an archive and a record of our lives.

Through his hands, Lin Shan weaves an aesthetic perspective belonging to the younger generation, initiating a dialogue between the contemporary and the traditional.
Life is art, and UUIN Salon attempts to convey the beauty that comes from life.
